easyJet A321 from Gatwick declares emergency

A scheduled easyJet flight from London Gatwick bound for Dalaman has declared an emergency after departure, and is making a return.

easyJet flight EZY38QH/U28565, operated by an Airbus A321 from London Gatwick (LGW) to Dalaman Türkiye  (DLM) has declared a general emergency, squawking 7700 after departure.

The aircraft is now making good a return to Gatwick airport.

Flight U28565 declared an emergency whilst in the climb shortly after departing from London Gatwick. The aircraft made good a return to the departure airport and is currently on descent.

The aircraft in question is easyJet Airbus A321-200, registered G-UZMB; a four year old airframe. The nature of the emergency is not clear at this stage.
