UPDATE #1 @ 1802 UK time – American Airlines flight AA5637 is descending through FL170 and looks to be continuing on to Milwaukee following this emergency broadcast.
UPDATE #3 @ 1805 UK time – As per Planespotters.net, N539EA is a 13.0 year old Bombardier CRJ-700 that was delivered to American Eagle in January 2011 originally, before being handed over to Envoy and PSA Airlines under the American Airlines operations.
UPDATE #4 @ 1807 UK time – AA5637 from Washington DCA is passing through 8,000 feet as the aircraft nears the Milwaukee Airport.
UPDATE #5 @ 1809 UK time – AA5637’s reason for an emergency broadcast on descent into the airport is still unclear at this time.
UPDATE #6 @ 1812 UK time – AA5637 appears to be on the base leg into Milwaukee Airport. Scanning the ATC feeds to determine the cause.
UPDATE #7 @ 1818 UK time – AA5637 looks to be on final approach into it’s destination, with an emergency landing imminent.
UPDATE #8 @ 1823 UK time – TOUCHDOWN! American Airlines flight AA5637 from Washington DCA has appeared to have touched down safely into Milwaukee following it’s emergency call.
