An American Airlines flight operating from Paris to Philadelphia has declared an emergency shorty after departure from Paris Charles De Gaulle.
American Airlines flight AA755, a Boeing 787-8 operating the transatlantic service from Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport (CDG) to Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) declared the emergency with squawk code 7700 shortly after departure.
The flight appears to be currently preparing for a return to CDG.

Flight AA755 made the emergency declaration shortly after departure today, and is currently holding to the north of Paris CDG at 10,000 feet. The nature of the problem is not yet known.
Data for the flight shows the aircraft made an on-time departure out of Paris Charles De Gaulle this afternoon at 13:41 local time (12:41 UTC). The flight then declared the emergency whilst in the climb passing through 7,500 feet on the early departure stage.
Update 13:15 UTC: Birdstrike After Takeoff CDG
Via Flight Emergency, American Airlines flight AA755 suffered a bird strike whilst departing CDG. The flight currently remains in the hold to the north of the airport.
The nature or severity of any damage sustained in the incident is not yet known, though the flight has maintained a transponder code of 7700 throughout the subsequent manoeuvring.
The aircraft operating today’s AA755 long haul service is a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, registered N811AB; an 8-year old widebody aircraft belonging to the US carrier.

Flight AA755 now out of the holding pattern and descending through 6,000 feet as it positions for its return to CDG.
Weather for the flight’s return is Marginal VFR, with duty runways 08/09 active.
