Air France Flight Paris-Marseille Declares Emergency

UPDATE #1 @ 1259 UK time – Air France flight AF7336 from Paris to Marseille looks to be diverting to Lyon as a result of this emergency declaration.

UPDATE #2 @ 1259 UK time – F-GMZE is a 28.6 year old Airbus A321 that started out life with Air Inter Europe in October 1995.

By April 1997, the aircraft was handed over to the French carrier.

Of the A321 variant, Air France has 15 of them, of which 12 are in active service and three are currently parked, as per data from Planespotters.net.

UPDATE #3 @ 1302 UK time – AF7336 from Paris to Marseille is approaching the base leg to Lyon, as the emergency continues to unfold.

UPDATE #4 @ 1304 UK time – AF7336 is now on final approach to Lyon, with the cause of the emergency still unclear at this time.

UPDATE #5 @ 1308 UK time – TOUCHDOWN! Air France flight AF7336 from Paris to Marseille has appeared to have touched down safely into Lyon following it’s emergency call a few moments ago.

As soon as we have updates regarding the cause of the emergency, then we will update this article accordingly. This remains a developing story.
