An Air France scheduled flight operating between Valencia and Paris has declared a general emergency whilst enroute over France.
Air France flight AF1493, an Airbus A320-200 operating between Valencia (VLC) and Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) has declared a general emergency, squawking 7700 whilst in the cruise enroute.
The aircraft has descended to 10,000 feet and appears to be now initiating a diversion.

Flight AF1493 has now executed a rapid descent from cruising level FL360, before executing a diversion into Limoges.
The nature of the emergency is unclear at this stage. The aircraft concerned is an Airbus A320-200, registered OY-RUY, a Danish Air Transport aircraft under operation by Air France.
