In the last few moments, a SWISS Airbus A330, bound for New York’s Newark from Zurich, has declared an emergency and is inbound to Paris.
As per RadarBox.com, SWR18N, looks to be descending into London Heathrow, and will result in a diversion caused by this emergency.
At this time, it is unclear what the cause of the emergency is, but is serious enough to cause such a diversion.

UPDATE #1 @ 1813 UK time – SWR18N, originally bound for New York, looks to be entering some form of hold, presumably to burn weight and fuel before a potential diversion into the UK?
UPDATE #2 @ 1815 UK time – SWISS flight SWR18N is descending through 13,000 feet over the area of Southend.

UPDATE #5 @ 1821 UK time – The Airbus A330-343E operating the SWISS flight originally for New York is HB-JHL, a 11.4-year-old aircraft, that has been with the airline since February 2012. Quite the loop the aircraft has done for its diversion to London Heathrow.
