It is understood that the following routes will either be brand new or be returning to Jet2’s network for Summer 2025:

  • Bristol Airport – brand-new weekly services to Kalamata (exclusive to Jet2.com and Jet2holidays)
  • Edinburgh Airport – brand-new twice weekly services to Catania
  • Edinburgh Airport – reintroduction of weekly services to Bourgas (Bulgaria)
  • Liverpool Airport – brand-new three weekly services to Malaga
  • Liverpool Airport – brand-new weekly services to Malta
  • Liverpool Airport – brand-new twice-weekly services to Reus

Commenting on this was CEO of Jet2, Steve Heapy:

“We are seeing strong demand from customers and independent travel agents wanting to book their Summer Sun early and get the best availability and choice.”

“As the UK’s largest tour operator, we have listened to what our customers are telling us and reacted by putting our Summer 25 Sun programme on sale nice and early.”

“By going on sale today, we are giving customers the chance to lock in the price of their holiday now, have their pick of the best choice of destinations, hotels, rooms and flights and spread the cost.”

“Our Summer 25 Sun programme represents our largest programme to date, and the scale and size of this means customers and independent travel agents have lots of choice and flexibility when it comes to getting away.”

“In addition to expanding our flying programme, we are also investing in our operations at Birmingham, Liverpool John Lennon, London Stansted and Manchester by adding in additional aircraft at these airports.”

“We will also be introducing three new Airbus A321 neo aircraft at Edinburgh Airport.”

“This means we will have our new aircraft based at Birmingham, Edinburgh and Manchester Airports for Summer 25, enabling us to grow more sustainably in line with demand for our award-winning flights and holidays”

“On top of today’s announcement, we will be revealing more good news about our exciting Summer 25 operations soon.”

Analysis: The Only Way Is Up…

For Jet2, this Summer 2025 schedule represents significant confidence in the customer demand that they have received over the last year or so, as well as clearly how good bookings are looking already for 2024.

From the list that you will see below this piece, it is abundantly clear which markets are doing well for them, and just shows how vast their market share presence is to Europe from the UK, and how much further they want to grow it in Summer 2025.

With Liverpool operations coming next year, that represents a significant investment and expansion in the network, particularly with the over 140 Airbus A320neo Family aircraft that they have on order too.

From profits of well over £350m for 2022/23, it shows clearly how well the Summer 2023 season has gone as well as how well Summer 2024 is going at this minute, with there being enough confidence to get bookings up to Summer 2025 in the Jet2 camp.

It represents a change in thinking from Jet2 on a post-pandemic basis where the shift is going from the next 12 months to the next 24-36 months instead. Shifting into medium-term thinking highlights such consumer confidence in the company.

For now, all eyes are on the carrier to see how the next few busy periods go for them, as well as whether there is any scope to add even more routes onto the already vast and extensive services that they will have in 2025.
