In a move aimed at tackling traffic congestion and advancing integrated situational awareness, Lima Airport Partners (LAP) has partnered with Saab to revolutionize its Digital Apron Management Center.

The agreement represents a significant breakthrough for Saab in the Latin American market, and will involve the provision of an array of state-of-the-art surveillance solutions for airport apron management.

A Comprehensive Surveillance System

Saab’s advanced surveillance system comprises a fully integrated platform incorporating ADS-B surveillance sensors, the Aerobahn surface management system, TactiCall voice communications integration, and Digital Towers equipped with high-definition cameras.

This amalgamation guarantees meticulous digital visualization of the airport’s surface, and facilitates enhanced monitoring and management of apron activities.

With the integration of this suite of advanced solutions, LAP’s Apron Operators will be able to adeptly manage, record, and assess activities right across the airport apron.

Situated within the forthcoming airport terminal, the new Digital Apron Management Center will host three working positions, empowering operators with comprehensive control over airport operations.
