The oneworld® Alliance has unveiled its inaugural fully branded dedicated airport lounge in Seoul. This new facility comes as the major airline alliance gears up to commemorate its 25th anniversary later this year.
For the debut of its first branded lounge, oneworld joined forces with Swissport, a global aviation ground services provider, and the renowned team behind ASPIRE Airport Lounges, known for their award-winning facilities.
Terminal 1 Incheon
Located in Terminal 1 of Incheon International Airport, the new oneworld lounge spans an impressive 555 square meters, offering stylish seating arrangements in a contemporary ambiance catering to up to 148 guests.
Conveniently situated within a mere 10-minute walk from the farthest departure gates of oneworld airlines, the lounge promises easy accessibility for travelers.
Incheon International Airport serves as a hub for seven oneworld member airlines: American Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Finnair, Malaysia Airlines, Qantas, Qatar Airways, and SriLankan Airlines.
Together, these carriers operate over 60 weekly flights to Seoul, connecting the Korean capital to a vast network of more than 900 destinations worldwide.
Aesthetics & Innovation
The new oneworld lounge introduces a modern airport experience, offering patrons a vibrant yet serene space to unwind, recharge, and indulge in culinary delights before their journey.
Gerhard Girkinger, oneworld Vice President of Customer Experience, Delivery, and Membership, expressed pride in launching the alliance’s premier branded lounge, emphasizing its role in enhancing travel experiences.
He highlighted the fusion of refined aesthetics, digital innovations, and inviting atmospheres as pivotal elements in crafting memorable journeys.
Cathay Pacific’s Chief Customer and Commercial Officer, Lavinia Lau, lauded the inauguration of oneworld’s inaugural branded lounge at Incheon International Airport, underscoring its significance for the alliance and Cathay Pacific’s commitment to delivering excellence in customer experience.
Lau emphasized the lounge’s role in elevating the overall travel experience, providing a comfortable and vibrant environment for travelers to unwind before their flights.
Access and Availability
The newly inaugurated lounge operates daily from 7:30 am to 11:45 pm, catering to Cathay Diamond and Gold members, oneworld Emerald and Sapphire members, as well as First and Business Class passengers flying with any oneworld member airlines.
Additionally, Cathay Silver members traveling on Cathay Pacific flights can also enjoy access to the lounge.
