East Midlands Airport has this week announced the handling of four million passengers in a rolling 12 month period.

Without further ado, let’s get into it…

For March 2024, East Midlands Airport handled 240,000 passengers, which is a 22.4% increase compared to the same period last year.

The rolling annual total stands at 4.077m.

Such a total is an increase of 746,938 passengers, which has provided strong benefits ahead of the Summer.

Such numbers are expected to rise well with TUI and Jet2 adding additional aircraft at the airport.

Other carriers such as Eastern Airways partnering with Air France on Paris flights has provided a boost too.

Furthermore, Jet2 recently launched flights to Naples in Italy, which has also helped the cause of East Midlands Airport.

“It shows our popularity is growing, and spreading to places further afield.”

“I’m really proud of the team here who all pull together to provide the effortless experience that our customers have come to expect.”

“Everyone from customer ambassadors, security officers and our parking team and others behind the scenes are all dedicated to giving people a great start to their holiday as soon as they arrive at the airport.”

“We hope the improvements we’ve introduced so far will make our customers’ experience even better, and we look forward to welcoming them for what’s shaping up to be our best summer yet.”
