Denpasar Airport prepares for first arrival of Emirates A380

Bali’s Denpasar I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport is preparing for the arrival of the first Emirates Airbus A380 on 1 June 2023. The A380 is the world’s largest passenger aircraft, carrying up to 615 passengers, and its arrival marks a milestone for the Indonesian airport.

According to Indonesian news source Tempo, Faik Fahmi, the President Director of the state-owned airport said in a written statement:

“We are very pleased that Emirates choose to land the world’s largest commercial aircraft, Airbus A380-800, for the first time at Bali’s I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport. This is a historic record for Angkasa Pura I and Indonesia.”
