One of the world’s leading global aviation leaders and providers, Jetex, a Dubai-native company will be launching a new private jet terminal in Abu Dhabi.
The new state-of-the-art FBO (Fixed Based Operator) private jet terminal will boost the image and competitiveness of the legendary Al Bateen Executive Airport. Al Bateen Executive Airport is the only business aviation-centric airport in Abu Dhabi.
The new FBO will further uplift the guest’s experience upon arriving at the airport, giving an image boost to the airport.
Abu Dhabi Al Bateen Airport
Abu Dhabi’s executive airport was built in 1960 and has served the area ever since until 2008. After the new Abu Dhabi International Airport was built, Al Bateen Airport operated as an executive aviation facility, with a focus on business jets and general aviation.
The airport is well suited for business jets as it has a short taxi time, and operates with fast and efficient ground times. Moreover, the airport has fewer slot restrictions, which gives convenience to business jet travelers.
The proximity of the airport to downtown makes the airport favourable for business executives. JetEx Abu Dhabi will be key in the propelling of the local economy, as it creates new travel experiences and increases in recognition of business aviation travel in the capital.
The business aviation scene in Abu Dhabi is about to change for the better.
Lounge and terminal
Business travellers flying via Jetex Abu Dhabi can now travel with business jets seamlessly, with JetEx’s new spacious private lounges consisting of VIP and VVIP terminals.
Passengers will be greeted with high-class hospitality and luxurious amenities with the Jetex brand. They will also be able to clear CIQ (Customs – Immigration – Quarantine) at Jet Ex’s world-class facilities to ensure seamless arrival and departure procedures.
Air Side Facilities
Outside of the facilities, all clients’ aircraft using JetEx will park at a secure apron and hangar parking which has the capability to accommodate 50 aircraft, and comes with in-house ground handling services.
The signing ceremony officiated the agreement between JetEx and Al Bateen Airport. Present at the ceremony, were MD and CEO, H.E. Eng. Jamal Salem Al Dhaheri from the Abu Dhabi airport and Adel Mardini, Founder, and CEO, of Jetex.

Moreover, the redesign will also enhance safety, as this will upgrade ground lightning, and enhance signage and landscape to ensure pilots operate their aircraft with the highest safety standards.
