For July 4-11, Edelweiss Air, based in Zurich, operated 69 flights based on a seven-day rolling average provided by the flight tracking company.

This is an increase of 4.55% compared to the same period last year and is 14 flights higher than the pre-COVID era of 2019.

Below is the last four weeks’ worth of data showing the airline’s performance over the busy summer peak so far:

June 6-1354 movements54 movements55 movements+1.85%
June 13-2054 movements57 movements57 movements+0.00%
June 20-2753 movements58 movements59 movements+1.72%
June 27-July 456 movements60 movements66 movements+10.00%

What we can see from the data is that the Zurich-based carrier’s peak seems to have begun at the start of July as well as in the latter stages of June.

Based on the numbers from July 4-11, this means that the percentage increases are set to be bigger, especially as we progress through this month and then into August too.

Looking ahead, all eyes will be on Edelweiss Air to see how much further it can take its operations during the peak periods of this Summer.
