WestJet has announced a new, year-round daily service linking Regina and Minneapolis. This strategic addition to WestJet’s 2024 summer schedule marks Regina’s first year-round transborder service since 2016.

It also solidifies its status as the province’s second direct route to the Midwest United States.

A Boost for Regina

Regina’s air access is set to strengthen with WestJet’s latest route announcement. The new year-round transborder service to Minneapolis is a response to the community’s call for enhanced connectivity.

Jared Mikoch-Gerke, WestJet’s Director of Alliances & Airport Affairs, expressed the airline’s enthusiasm, stating, “We are thrilled to answer the call of the community and further our commitment to Regina and surrounding areas.”

Passengers flying beyond Minneapolis will benefit from WestJet’s partnership with Delta Air Lines.

The codeshare agreement opens up a vast network of over 70 connecting destinations, transforming Regina into a gateway to the United States.

Travelers can now reach their final destination with only one stop, simplifying the journey and maximizing convenience.

The partnership extends to WestJet Rewards, allowing guests to earn and redeem rewards seamlessly across both airlines.
