This comes due to the increased demand in passenger traffic between the country and the airport.

It is understood that Vietnam Airlines will operate these flights to New Delhi with the Airbus A350 in May 2024.

The airline provides around 14 weekly flights at the moment to Delhi & Mumbai from Hanoi & Ho Chi Minh City.

Mr Nguyen Trung Hieu, Country Manager India, Vietnam Airlines had this to say on the news:

‘’We have always been invested in India and when looking for further expansion, New Delhi seemed to be a natural fit.”

“Vietnam Airlines has always been known for its hospitality and providing superior traveling experience to its guests and bringing the A350 aircraft to our travelers in India is another step in enhancing the travel experience and providing them with superior hospitality.‘’

Adding to this was Mr. Abhishek Goyal, Executive Director of Aeroprime Group [India GSA, Vietnam Airlines]:

‘’Bringing the world-class state-of-the-art A350 to the Indian market demonstrates a greater commitment to customer experience by Vietnam Airlines.”

“This will further help our guests enjoy award-winning Vietnamese hospitality, amazing in-flight food, and best-in-class comfort onboard.’’

Away from New Delhi, Vietnam Airlines continues to grow strongly on the worldwide stage.

Earlier this week, it was revealed that the airline would serve Munich from Hanoi & Ho Chi Minh City.

Vietnam Airlines’ decision to expand its Asian flight program from Munich underscores the growing demand for travel between Europe and Southeast Asia.

Furthermore, the introduction of direct flights from Munich to Vietnam marks an exciting development for the German airport.

It offers a new and convenient route for passengers seeking to explore the beauty and culture of Southeast Asia.

This news alongside utilising the Airbus A350 for the New Delhi route highlights that growth in question.

In conclusion, Vietnam Airlines continues to receive significant demand for flights into their country.

With New Delhi being the latest example of this, all eyes will be in May to see how this will perform.

If it ends up being a success, then it is likely that this will remain going into the short-to-medium term.

But for now, let’s see how the first Vietnam Airlines Airbus A350 flights into New Delhi is received.
