Vietnam Airlines, the national flag carrier of Vietnam, has been paid the honor of being named as a Five Star global airline for 2024 by the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX).
This recognition was made during the APEX and International Flight Services Association awards ceremony, held on September 20th in Long Beach, California.
The carrier joins a select group of 20 global airlines, including industry giants like ANA, Virgin Atlantic, Lufthansa, and Korean Air.
The APEX Five Star Airline Award and Four Star Airline Award are founded on impartial, third-party passenger feedback and valuable insights collected through APEX’s partnership with TripIt® from Concur®, the world’s highest-rated travel-organizing app.
For the 2024 Awards, an astonishing one million flights were meticulously rated by passengers across more than 600 airlines worldwide, utilizing a comprehensive five-star scale.
These awards are independently certified by a professional external auditing company.

Notably, it is the first airline in Vietnam to implement telephone check-in, further simplifying the check-in process for passengers.

In addition to the prestigious Five Star rating from APEX, Vietnam Airlines has also earned a Four Star designation from SkyTrax, an international air transport rating organization.
Furthermore, Vietnam Airlines was recently named a Top 10 international airline according to an annual study conducted by Bounce, a luggage storage company.
In this study, the airline achieved the highest ranking among 62 airlines, with an astonishingly low percentage of canceled flights at just 0.02%.
The airline was also recently selected to host the World Aviation Safety and Operations Conference organized by the International Air Transport Association.
