Commenting on the inauguration of this route between Perth and Ho Chi Minh City with VietJet was the Australian airports’ Chief Operating Officer, Scott Woodward:

“It is a great sign for Western Australia to see airlines show keen interest in delivering new air services to Perth Airport and opening up non-stop access to new international destinations”.

Adding to this, the Australian airport said the following in a statement:

Vietjet provides affordable air travel with a strong focus on customer service, and we are delighted to welcome Vietjet to Perth Airport and we look forward to building on the relationship to deliver a great new holiday destination in Vietnam for Western Australia”.

“The new route will operate the service to Perth every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday on a long-range, narrow-body A321neo aircraft with 230 seats.”

Looking ahead, all eyes will be on how this new route performs, as well as whether an equipment or frequency upgrade may be seen going into the future depending on demand from Perth into Ho Chi Minh City for travelling and VFR.

But for now, let’s see how this new route performs and see how much success it will offer.
