Vietjet inaugurates Ho Chi Minh City-Chengdu service

Vietjet Air, Vietnam’s largest private airline, marked the beginning of the Lunar New Year by the commencement of the direct route connecting Ho Chi Minh City to Chengdu.

The new service will offer a seamless and efficient travel option for Chinese travelers during the Spring Festival period.

At the welcoming ceremony held at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, notable figures including Mr. Wei Huaxiang, Consul General of China in Ho Chi Minh City, and Mr. Michael Hickey, Vietjet’s Chief Operating Officer, greeted passengers on the inaugural flight.

Their warm reception symbolized the auspicious beginning of the Lunar New Year, the Year of the Dragon.

The Chengdu – Ho Chi Minh City route operates with one daily return flight, amounting to seven round-trip journeys weekly, with each leg spanning over four hours.

Departing from Chengdu Tianfu International Airport at 00:50 local time and arriving in Ho Chi Minh City at 03:55 local time, this route offers seamless connectivity for travelers.

Flights departing from Tan Son Nhat International Airport take off at 19:10 local time and touch down in Chengdu at 00:15 the following day, local time.
