VietJet Air, the largest low-cost carrier in Vietnam, has announced that it will launch a new Ho Chi Minh City to Tokyo Haneda route on July 15, 2023. The airline will operate daily flights on the route using the carrier’s Airbus A321 aircraft.

The flight times are as follows:

Flight VJ820 departs Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) at 17:00 p.m. local time to Tokyo Haneda (HND) arriving at 01:00 a.m. local time the following morning.

Flight VJ821 departs Tokyo Haneda (HND) at 02:00 a.m. local time after a one-hour turnaround, arriving back in Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) at 06:10 a.m. local time.

The new route will offer passengers a convenient and affordable way to travel between Vietnam and Japan. VietJet Air is the first Vietnamese airline to operate a direct flight to Tokyo Haneda, which is one of the busiest airports in the world.

VietJet Air is a rapidly growing airline that has been expanding its network at a rapid pace. The airline currently flies to nearly 60 destinations with a current fleet of 98 aircraft, across both ThaiVietJet Air and VietJet Air.

This fleet count is broken down to 30 Airbus A320s, 42 Airbus A321s, 21 Airbus A321neos, and five Airbus A330-300s.

The launch of the new Ho Chi Minh City to Tokyo Haneda route is a further sign of the airline’s ambition to become a leading international carrier.
