Uzbekistan Airways has this week revealed plans to launch Airbus A330 flights from Tashkent, beginning tomorrow (May 20).

Information has been released by the airline about this development in growth.

Uzbekistan Airways will begin flights from Tashkent with the Airbus A330 on May 20.

The inaugural flight will be to Istanbul on the HY281/282 rotations.

From there, the Airbus A330 will be utilised on flights to Jeddah and Seoul from Tashkent.

In total, Uzbekistan Airways will take two units via a wet leasing arrangement made with Qanot Sharq.

The duration of the lease is approximately one year, with the aircraft to be painted in a special blue livery.

Commenting on the launch of flights with the Airbus A330 from Tashkent was Uzbekistan Airways Chairman Shukhrat Khudaykulov:

“The decision to acquire A330 aircraft was made as part of the airline’s development strategy and Uzbekistan Airways’ plans to expand its flight geography and increase the frequency of existing routes.”

“Our goal is to consistently grow each year to maintain Uzbekistan Airways’ status as one of the most reliable and safe carriers on the international stage”.

Furthermore, it is clear that growth is on the agenda for the airline as they push forward.

In conclusion, this is yet another big step for the airline and their operations from Tashkent.
