United Airlines Landmark Deal: 1bn Gallons of SAF

United Airlines has this week made a landmark deal with Cemvita Corporation for up to one billion gallons of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).

The agreement states that Cemvita will supply the airline with 50 million gallons annually over a 20-year period.

Commenting on this deal was Michael Leskinen, the United Airlines Ventures President:

United has aggressively pursued strategic investments in SAF producers and revolutionary technologies, including carbon capture, hydrogen-electric engines, electric regional aircraft, and air taxis.
