Turkish Airlines boosts flights from Manchester to Istanbul

In response to the escalating demand from travelers eager to explore Istanbul, one of Europe’s most captivating cities, Turkish Airlines has announced a significant expansion in its flight services.

Istanbul was crowned as the top city for international arrivals last year with over 20 million visitors. The city continues to allure globetrotters with its rich history, vibrant culture, and mesmerizing landmarks.

Turkish Airlines, Türkiye’s flagship carrier, is set to enhance its connectivity by introducing additional weekly flights from Manchester to Istanbul.

These new flights will facilitating seamless journeys for passengers seeking to immerse themselves in the charm of this historic metropolis.

Expanding Connectivity: Turkish Airlines’ Initiative

With a keen eye on the burgeoning interest in Istanbul as a premier tourist destination, Turkish Airlines is bolstering its flight frequency from Manchester to Istanbul.

Commencing from 19 May, the airline will augment its existing services by introducing a fourth flight, elevating the total number of weekly flights to 25 during the peak summer season.

Currently operating three daily flights between Manchester and Istanbul, the northern Airport will see the addition of four extra services per week.

Flights will be scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays as Turkish Airlines moves to meet the escalating demand for travel to Istanbul.

Serhat Gök, the General Manager of Turkish Airlines in Manchester, expressed optimism regarding the increased flight capacity.

He emphasized that the additional weekly flights would cater to the anticipated surge in demand from travelers eager to experience Türkiye’s premier tourism destination during the summer months.

Gök highlighted Istanbul’s iconic landmarks, such as the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, and Grand Bazaar, along with its stunning vistas and vibrant nightlife, as key attractions for British and European travelers.

Enhanced Connectivity Across the UK

Turkish Airlines’ commitment will also extend beyond Manchester. The carrier announced supplementary flights on vital routes connecting Istanbul with other prominent cities in the UK.

For the summer of 2024, the airline plans to introduce four additional weekly flights each from two more points. This sees additions on the Birmingham-Istanbul and London Gatwick-Istanbul routes.

The additional flights bring the total weekly flights between the British capital and Istanbul to 112.

In Scotland, three extra weekly flights will link Edinburgh with Istanbul during the summer season.

Additionally, Turkish Airlines operates seven weekly summer seasonal flights between London Gatwick and Antalya, further diversifying its offerings for travelers.
