The two Airbus A320 aircraft will operate in July and August 2023, as well as in Summer programs for 2024 and 2025, and will be based in Amsterdam.

Under the GlobalX name, a subsidiary of Global Crossing Airlines, this means that daily flights will be provided throughout Europe.

TUI Airlines Netherlands Begins Growth in Summer 2023…

Data provided by RadarBox.com.

Data from RadarBox.com shows that TUI Airlines Netherlands is about to begin its growth as the Summer 2023 season begins.

From April 2-9, the carrier handled 27 movements, which represents an increase of 17.39% compared to the same period last year.

With this being the earliest period of the season so far, it highlights already the growth rate that it could achieve over the Summer.

Based on that, and the fact that the GlobalX aircraft will be with TUI Airlines Netherlands in July & August, below is the forecasted averages of weekly flights that are expected to take place:

Date2022 NumbersExpected 2023 Numbers (With a 17.39% increase average)
June 25-July 247 movements55 movements
July 2-July 958 movements68 movements
July 9-1656 movements65 movements
July 16-2358 movements68 movements
July 23-3059 movements69 movements
July 30-August 658 movements68 movements
August 6-1357 movements67 movements
August 13-2058 movements68 movements
August 20-2758 movements68 movements
August 27-September 352 movements61 movements

This means that over the July-August period when the aircraft will be in use, this will allow an increase of 96 weekly flights, which will offer a further revenue stream moving forward.

It remains clear that this agreement will benefit both TUI Airlines Netherlands and also GlobalX/Global Crossing Airlines.

For the lessor, it will mean more revenue secured during the Summer of 2023, and for the airline, it will mean more flights served and more revenue as well.

Looking ahead, all eyes will be on TUI Airlines Netherlands to see how the Summer 2023 season will go for them and whether there is any scope for an expansion of the deal.

But for now, this is a deal that both sides can walk away from feeling satisfied that maximum catchment and capacity can be produced.
