The New Codeshare Boosting Colombo-Seoul Travel Options

Great news for travelers looking for more options and smoother connections between Colombo and Seoul! SriLankan Airlines and Korean Air have officially activated a new codeshare partnership.

Effective from March 15, 2024, it offers enhanced travel options and connections for passengers traveling between Colombo and Seoul.

The Colombo-Seoul Connection

SriLankan Airlines and Korean Air have now joined forces, offering access to a wider range of flights.

This new collaboration allows passengers to book a single ticket with SriLankan Airlines for travel between Colombo and Seoul.

This will apply even if the flight involves a connection in Singapore operated by Korean Air. Korean Air will also codeshare on other SriLankan Airlines flights. This will apply between Colombo and Seoul, Singapore, Chennai India, and Male Maldives.

Increased Flight Frequency

SriLankan Airlines currently offers two direct flights per week between Colombo and Seoul. By tapping into Korean Air’s extensive network, SriLankan Airlines passengers can now enjoy the convenience of daily flights between Colombo and Seoul via Singapore.

Korean Air passengers will also benefit from this partnership. They will gain access to SriLankan Airlines’ strong network within the Indian subcontinent.

This includes nearly 100 weekly flights across nine Indian cities and 23 flights per week to the Maldives. Also accessible are frequent connections between Colombo and Chennai, and Colombo and Male.

Booking and Benefits

SriLankan Airlines, Korean Air, and travel agencies all sell tickets for these codeshare flights.

Passengers will enjoy the ease of booking a single ticket for multi-sector journeys, along with the convenience of through check-in and baggage transfer.
