SWISS has announced plans to launch new flights between Zurich and Seoul for the Summer 2024 schedule.

This represents an enlargement of it’s far-east network, and joins recently announced services to Washington DC and Toronto in the west.

Without further ado, let’s get into it…

It is understood that the new flights between Zurich and Seoul with SWISS will begin on May 7, 2024 on a three times per week basis.

Equipment of choice for this flight will be their Airbus A340-300 aircraft. Services will operate on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

LX122 will leave Zurich at 1340 local time, and arrive into Seoul at 0825 local time the next day. LX1223 will then depart at 0955, and then land into the Swiss airport again at 1650 local time.

SWISS Chief Commercial Officer Heike Birlenbach said the following on the new route:

“We are delighted to be further growing our network”.

“As well as our new long-haul destinations of Washington, DC and Toronto, which we’ve already announced, we’ll be adding the extremely attractive destination of Seoul to our Asian network in summer 2024.”

“The capital of South Korea has a lot to offer leisure and business travellers alike. And our new Seoul service will help us even better meet our customers’ needs for non-stop services to and from the world’s key cities.”

All eyes will be on how the new route performs, as well as whether there is scope to expand this going into the future.
