Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) is further expanding its route network. In the latest network addition, the Dutch port city of Rotterdam will receive six-times-weekly service from Zurich from 22 January 2024.

The airline is gearing up to make 2023/24 an exciting year for travelers. As part of its expansion, SWISS is all set to introduce new non-stop services to the vibrant Dutch port city.

A Bridge to Rotterdam

Rotterdam, the second-largest city in the Netherlands, is known for its dynamic skyline and iconic landmarks like the Erasmus Bridge and the Cube Houses.

However, what truly defines Rotterdam is its massive and influential port. One of the world’s largest, this port shapes the city’s unique character and atmosphere.

Beyond its maritime prowess, Rotterdam boasts a rich arts scene, renowned museums like the Boijmans Van Beuningen, and a diverse array of shopping and nightlife experiences.

This city is a cultural melting pot, harmoniously blending the past and future, making it an irresistible destination for all types of travelers.

Expanding Horizons

By incorporating Rotterdam into its ever-growing route network, SWISS is strengthening its connection to the Randstad conurbation in Western Netherlands.

In addition to its existing flights to Amsterdam, SWISS now offers yet another appealing air travel option to and from the economic and cultural heart of the country.

Benedikt Escher, SWISS’s Head of Network Management, emphasizes the airline’s commitment to delivering an extensive network of attractive air services.

SWISS continuously strives to cater to the evolving needs of its customers, and this expansion into Rotterdam aligns perfectly with their mission.

Rotterdam, with its unique allure, enriches SWISS’s network and promises an exceptional travel experience.

Efficient Transit

The flight from Zurich to Rotterdam is conveniently short, clocking in at just an hour and 30 minutes. Rotterdam’s compact airport ensures a hassle-free arrival and departure experience.

With a city center approximately ten minutes away by car (depending on traffic) or a quick 20-minute journey via public transport, you’ll be immersing yourself in the charms of Rotterdam in no time.

The city is strategically located, with Amsterdam just an hour’s drive away and The Hague a mere half-hour journey. Efficient public transport services further bridge the gap between these captivating Dutch cities.
