It is understood services between Prague and Athens with Smartwings will begin on May 31 next year on a twice-weekly basis.

QS1140 will depart Vaclav Havel Airport at 1215 local time, and arrive into the Greek destination at 1545 local time.

The return, QS1141, will depart at 1630 local time, and be back in the Czech capital by 1810 local time, and will be served using their Boeing 737 aircraft.

Athens will become the 13th regular Greek destination for Smartwings from Prague, and joins the other two new services announced by the carrier.

In a statement, they said the following on this:

“”In addition to Athens, the Smartwings will offer another two new attractive travel options for summer 2024 – from 26 April 2024, the airline will operate regular direct flights from Prague to the largest island of the Azores, São Miguel (twice a week), and from 3 June 2024, it will connect Prague with Brindisi, Italy (twice a week).”

“Smartwings will offer direct flights from Czech airports to more than 70 destinations under the 2024 summer flight schedule. The company will also operate flights from Poland, Slovakia, and Hungary.”

All eyes will be on how these new services perform in the Summer 2024 season.
