Last week, Greek carrier SKY express received its first Airbus A321neo aircraft as the carrier’s expansion plans continue.

Following this delivery, another A321neo is due to be delivered later this year.

Executive Comments…

George Lioumbis, the General Manager of SKY express, said the following on this delivery:

“We are very proud to welcome our first AIRBUS A321neo.”

“True to our vision to provide our passengers with a unique travel experience, we continue vigorously to constantly upgrade our services, to further enhance our competitiveness, and to contribute substantially to the economy of our country.”

“As part of this vision, the increased capabilities of our new aircraft will be a very important tool for both our team and the traveling public.”

Its capacity offerings have increased by 20% compared to the same period last year to 3,800,000 seats on offer.

This will see the airline operate flights to and from 64 airports in Greece and abroad.

As for the A321neos specifically, they are expected to be used to enhance routes to and from London and Paris, which are two popular routes in their arsenal.

Overall…

It remains clear that SKY express’ growth plans at the moment are in full effect, and the delivery of the first A321neo will help the airline push ahead.

All eyes will be on the carrier to see how its Summer 2023 season will go, and whether any potential successes could encourage further growth going into the Summer 2024 season.

But for now, let’s see how the carrier performs.
