Greek carrier SKY express is taking flight with a significantly expanded and modern fleet. The airline has bolstered its aircraft by 17%, boasting the youngest fleet in Greece.
The airline’s fleet currently shows an average aircraft age of 1.6 years for ATR 72-600 models and 3.1 years for Airbus neo aircraft.
This impressive growth positions SKY Express as a leader in eco-friendly travel within Europe.
SKY express Current Fleet
The carrier’s expanded fleet now boasts 27 aircraft, including:
- 2 Airbus A321neo narrowbody aircraft
- 10 Airbus A320neo narrowbody aircraft
- 1 Airbus A320ceo narrowbody aircraft
- 10 ATR 72-600 turboprop aircraft
- 4 ATR 72-500 turboprop aircraft
SKY express’ commitment to sustainability is evident in their choice of engines. Their Airbus fleet utilizes CFM LEAP-1A engines, renowned for their reliability and efficiency. These engines deliver significant environmental benefits:
- 20% reduction in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions
- 50% decrease in NOx emissions
- 50% smaller noise footprint
ATR Commuter Operations
SKY express’ ATR aircraft cater perfectly to regional airports, offering the necessary flexibility for smooth operations. Additionally, these airplanes contribute to eco-conscious travel with 45% less fuel consumption and CO2 emissions compared to regional jets.

The airline’s dedication to a young fleet extends to their ATR aircraft, with an average age of just 1.6 years. This ensures a comfortable and reliable flying experience for all passengers.

These accolades were awarded at the 2.3 Airline Marketing Workshop organized by Athens International Airport last month.
The carrier was also recognized as an international case study by Google, being named the European company with the significant increase in terms of flight work by Eurocontrol.
