Greek carrier SKY express is taking flight with a significantly expanded and modern fleet. The airline has bolstered its aircraft by 17%, boasting the youngest fleet in Greece.

The airline’s fleet currently shows an average aircraft age of 1.6 years for ATR 72-600 models and 3.1 years for Airbus neo aircraft.

This impressive growth positions SKY Express as a leader in eco-friendly travel within Europe.

SKY express’ commitment to sustainability is evident in their choice of engines. Their Airbus fleet utilizes CFM LEAP-1A engines, renowned for their reliability and efficiency. These engines deliver significant environmental benefits:

  • 20% reduction in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions
  • 50% decrease in NOx emissions
  • 50% smaller noise footprint

ATR Commuter Operations

SKY express’ ATR aircraft cater perfectly to regional airports, offering the necessary flexibility for smooth operations. Additionally, these airplanes contribute to eco-conscious travel with 45% less fuel consumption and CO2 emissions compared to regional jets.

This allows SKY express to connect passengers to the beauty of the Greek islands and other domestic destinations in a modern and sustainable way.

The airline’s dedication to a young fleet extends to their ATR aircraft, with an average age of just 1.6 years. This ensures a comfortable and reliable flying experience for all passengers.

Their commitment to growth is further solidified by the recent addition of the ATR 72-600, named SX-TFI, in April 2024.

Recent Awards

Established in 2005, the airline offers a convenient and comfortable way to explore Greece and select destinations in Europe.

SKY express recently won three honorary distinctions for its European operations:
