Saudi Arabian Airlines (SAUDIA), the national flag carrier of Saudi Arabia, has achieved a significant milestone by advancing 11 positions in the renowned Skytrax airlines ranking of the World Best Airlines 2023.

This remarkable progress demonstrates SAUDIA’s commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction. Based on traveler votes, SAUDIA now holds the 23rd spot in the highly esteemed 2023 rankings.

The announcement of this achievement was made during the 54th edition of the prestigious Paris Air Show 2023, held in the beautiful city of Paris, France.

SAUDIA’s consistent rise in the Skytrax global rankings over the past few years is a testament to the airline’s continuous efforts to enhance its services.

SAUDIA’S rise

In 2017, SAUDIA made a substantial leap from the 82nd position to the 51st position, and further improved its standing to 26th in 2021. This remarkable progress earned SAUDIA the distinction of being named the “World Most Improved Airline” twice during those years.

The recognition gained by SAUDIA in international rankings aligns with its commitment to contribute to the national strategy for transportation, logistics services, and the aviation sector.

SAUDIA aims to play a significant role in serving the visiting pilgrims for Hajj and Umrah, while also supporting and promoting tourism through participation in various entertainment, cultural, sports, and economic events throughout all seasons.

Adding Nice to the network

Adding another feather to its cap, SAUDIA recently launched its inaugural flights from King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh to Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport in Nice, France.

This marks SAUDIA’s second destination in France and is part of its phased implementation strategy to expand its international network.

The introduction of this new Summer seasonal destination further strengthens SAUDIA’s position in the global aviation industry.

The inaugural flight, SV129, departed from King Khalid International Airport to Nice, with esteemed guests including Mr. Mohammad Baakdah, the Vice President of Ground Operations at SAUDIA, and Mr. Mohammed Alshammari, the Chief Operations Officer at Riyadh Airports Company.

To commemorate this momentous occasion, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at the AlFursan International Lounge.

Mr. Baakdah highlighted the significance of bolstering bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and France through the introduction of SAUDIA’s flights to Nice Airport and the connection of existing flights to Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris.

This strategic plan, announced earlier this year, reflects SAUDIA’s commitment to expanding its flight network. The airline aims to increase the number of destinations and expand its aircraft fleet to achieve its operational goals.

Furthermore, SAUDIA is dedicated to enhancing the guest experience by focusing on the development of its digital service ecosystem.

Summary

SAUDIA’s remarkable ascent in the Skytrax airlines ranking of the World Best Airlines 2023 is a testament to its dedication to providing exceptional services and ensuring customer satisfaction.

With its expanding international network, the airline continues to play a pivotal role in contributing to the national strategy for transportation and promoting tourism in Saudi Arabia.

As the Saudi flag carrier pursues its operational goals and enhances its digital services, it remains committed to delivering a world-class travel experience to its passengers.
