The Ministry of Defense and Saudia Private, a strategic business unit of Saudia Group, has signed an agreement aimed at bolstering air and logistical support services for a variety of Air Force aircraft.
This partnership, which supports national defense capabilities, was formalized at a ceremony which took place during the World Defense Show 2024 in Riyadh last week.
The Signing Ceremony
The signing ceremony, graced by dignitaries including His Excellency Dr. Khaled Al-Biyari, Assistant Minister of Defense for Executive Affairs, and His Excellency Engr. Ibrahim Al-Omar, Director General of Saudia Group, saw the two stakeholders move towards advancing the nation’s defense infrastructure.
The agreement was formally sealed by Ibrahim Al Suwayed, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense for Armament and Procurement, and Dr. Fahd Al-Jarbou, CEO of Saudia Private.
Comprehensive Support Services
The basis of this new collaboration is a comprehensive suite of operational and technical support services crafted to meet the unique requirements of Air Force operations.
Specifically designed for Air Force C130, Boeing 707, and Saab 2000 aircraft, these services extend beyond the borders of the Kingdom, embodying a commitment to excellence on a global scale.
Notably, provisions have been made to service ten C130 aircraft stationed at King Abdullah Air Base in the Western sector, underlining the depth of operational coverage envisaged by the agreement.
