The Saudia Group has unveiled its comprehensive operational plan for the 2024 Hajj season. This initiative will prioritize smooth travel experiences, streamlined procedures, and top-tier service across all touchpoints.

Saudia Group will welcome Hajj pilgrims through five domestic airports, including Jeddah, Madinah, Riyadh, Dammam, and Yanbu.

1.2 Million Seat Capacity

Over 1.2 million seats are available thanks to Saudia’s optimized fleet of 150+ modern aircraft.

Dedicated teams manage performance monitoring, terminal operations, and pilgrim support, ensuring smooth operations throughout the 74-day Hajj period, starting May 9th.

Collaborative efforts with relevant stakeholders guarantee swift responses and a robust emergency plan. Extensive virtual simulations have been conducted at both Jeddah and Madinah airports to further enhance readiness.

Welcoming Pilgrims Across Saudi Arabia

Hajj pilgrims will arrive at five domestic airports: Jeddah, Madinah, Riyadh, Dammam, and Yanbu. Over 11,000 frontline staff and maintenance technicians stand ready to ensure efficient passenger flow and aircraft preparedness.

The “Makkah Route” initiative streamlines immigration for 120,000 pilgrims. Saudia’s “Luggage First” service ensures swift baggage handling (270,000 bags) alongside the distribution of 240,000 Zamzam bottles.

“We are honored to serve pilgrims on their spiritual journey,” stated Amer Al Khushail, CEO of Saudia Hajj and Umrah.

“Our efforts align with Vision 2030, aiming to elevate pilgrim satisfaction through streamlined procedures and airport experiences.”

Collaboration with government delegations and travel agencies secures adequate seat capacity in high-demand markets across four continents.

Booking should be smooth through Saudia’s offices and online channels, with clear luggage acceptance guidelines communicated through targeted awareness campaigns.

Supporting the Pilgrim Journey

From issuing boarding passes to offering diverse in-flight meals, Saudia caters to every pilgrim’s needs. Multilingual staff, fluent in over 30 languages, deliver exceptional service.

Aircraft boast special features: screens displaying Miqat announcements, prayer times, and over 300,000 minutes of educational Islamic content, developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.

Saudia prioritizes accessibility, providing dedicated transport for individuals with disabilities. Medical equipment, including stretchers and oxygen, is readily available onboard.

Additionally, the convenient luggage collection service from pilgrim residences simplifies the return journey.
