SAS Summer 2024

Atlanta as a Hub

SAS will be increasing flight frequencies across the US for the Summer 2024 peak season.

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, which previously welcomed a staggering 94 million passengers in 2022, will become a hub for SAS travelers.

This strategic move is bound to redefine the travel landscape, with the world’s busiest airport as the gateway to the Southern USA, Caribbean, and Latin America.

Enhanced New York Routes

The Copenhagen-New York (JFK) route is set to shine with up to two daily flights, complementing existing daily flights to New York-Newark Airport from Stockholm, Oslo, and Copenhagen.

A commitment to providing convenience is evident as SAS ensures daily flights from Copenhagen to Boston, up from six times a week during the summer.

Additionally, a fourth weekly flight will be added from Copenhagen to Toronto, promising more options for globetrotters.

Strategic Cargo Focus

Cargo transportation is poised to play a pivotal role in the Copenhagen to Atlanta route. The proximity to the Port of Savannah, America’s largest and fastest-growing container terminal, adds a strategic dimension.

This opens avenues for efficient cargo movement, making the SAS service not only passenger-centric but also a key player in the logistics landscape.

Collaborative Ventures

Delta Air Lines Partnership

A partnership with US carrier Delta Air Lines allows passengers to seamlessly continue their journey to other Delta-served destinations from Atlanta.

SAS passengers can now explore new and exciting destinations across the Southern USA, Caribbean, and Latin America, all within easy reach.

Global Connectivity through Codeshare Agreements

The airline has also brokered codesharing agreements beyond the North American market, which will come onstream in 2024.

Codeshare agreements with EL AL Israel Airlines (effective from February) and Etihad Airways (established in October) offer passengers improved connectivity.

With 18 codeshare agreements globally, SAS is committed to providing a well-connected network to its travelers.
