Ryanair Expands Tirana Base With Six New Routes

Irish low-cost carrier Ryanair has this week announced the expansion of it’s Tirana base with six new routes for the Summer 2024 program.

The airline continues to grow it’s presence in all corners of Europe, with more connectivity on offer for those living in Albania.

Ryanair Expands Tirana Base With Six New Routes…

The Summer 2024 schedule for Ryanair out of Tirana will see a total of 22 routes, of which six are new, which are as follows:

Bari
Birmingham
Bristol
Budapest
Marseille
Vienna

This new schedule will ensure that traffic from the Tirana area will grow to three million passengers per annum, supporting over 2,200 jobs in Albania.

Commenting on this new schedule was Ryanair CEO Michael O’Leary:

“As Albania’s only really low fares airline, Ryanair is pleased to announce 6 new S24 routes for Tirana to Birmingham, Budapest, Brindisi, Bristol, Marseille, & Vienna, offering more routes, more choice at the lowest fares in Albania as Ryanair continues to deliver traffic, tourism and jobs growth at lower fares than any other airline.“

“All Albanian citizens/visitors can now book any of [the airline’s] 22 Tirana routes for S24 from just €19.99 on ryanair.com today.”

“We look forward to welcoming millions more Albanian citizens/visitors onboard [the airline’s] low fare flights to/from Tirana in 2024.”

Looking ahead, all eyes will be on how this expansion is taken by customers in Tirana, as well as whether there is scope to expand this further going into the future.
