The Rwandan flag carrier RwandAir and Turkish flag carrier Turkish Airlines have signed a new landmark codeshare agreement, further helping RwandAir expand its global reach

The new codeshare partnership will offer RwandAir’s customers greater travel choices and seamless connection possibilities in both airlines’ hubs of Kigali and Istanbul, offering Africa an even greater global connectivity.

Similarly, customers of the Turkish national carrier will enjoy the benefits on an extended African continental network.

The Agreement

Rwanda’s flag carrier RwandAir and Turkish Airlines, the flag carrier of Turkey, signed the initial agreement on April 11, thus further expanding RwandAir’s global reach.

RwandAir customers travelling from Africa can now enjoy easy access to the over 300 worldwide destinations in Turkish Airlines’ extensive network, giving the continent of Africa an even greater global connectivity.

The customers travelling with Turkish Airlines can also benefit from the codeshare agreement, with customers arriving in Kigali now having access to a smooth onwards connection across the African network RwandAir has to offer.

Turkish Airlines does currently offer daily flights between Istanbul and RwandAir’s Kigali base.

The agreement follows RwandAir’s recently launched codeshare agreements with major carriers such as Qatar Airways (QR) and British Airways (BA).
