Rwandan national carrier RwandAir has launched daily direct flights between London Heathrow’s Terminal 4 and Kigali.

This expansion significantly boosts its previous service of four flights per week. The new development reflects the strong demand RwandAir has seen from the UK market.

Passengers can experience a comfortable journey aboard RwandAir’s modern wide-body A330 aircraft. The outbound flight, WB711, departs London at 9:20 pm and arrives in Kigali at 7:00 am the following day.

The return flights, WB710 and WB712, alternate departure times from Kigali every other day, at 1:45 am or 11:25 pm, both arriving in London Heathrow at convenient times – either 7:00 am or 9:50 am.

Economy fares start from a competitive £590.29, while Business Class fares begin at £2,215.29 (all taxes and charges included).

Increasing UK Market Demand

Passengers flying on RwandAir’s direct service can choose between two comfortable cabin options. The Business Class boasts up to 30 fully lie-flat seats in a luxurious 1-2-1 configuration, while the spacious Economy Class offers up to 244 seats in a 2-4-2 layout.

RwandAir CEO, Yvonne Makolo, expressed her enthusiasm: “We’re thrilled to witness the impressive growth on our north-south traffic, particularly on the London Heathrow route.”

“Launching these daily flights fulfills a long-held goal, and we’re incredibly proud to make it happen.”

She continued, “London holds a special place for RwandAir, being our very first European destination since our inaugural Gatwick flight in 2017.”

These daily direct flights are a testament to the rising demand from both UK and African customers. We’re eager to welcome even more visitors to Rwanda, our beautiful ‘land of a thousand hills.'”

Exploring Kigali & Rwanda

The convenient visa-free access for UK visitors makes Rwanda an even more attractive destination. Travelers can expect breathtaking landscapes, diverse wildlife, and an unforgettable African experience.

Additionally, RwandAir’s well-connected Kigali hub allows for seamless connections to various destinations across Africa and the Middle East.

Onboard, passengers can unwind with complimentary meals, beverages, and a captivating selection of inflight entertainment displayed on seatback video screens.

RwandAir’s generous baggage allowance is another perk, with Economy Class passengers receiving two 23kg check-in bags and Business Class passengers enjoying up to three 23kg bags.
