Qatari flag carrier, Qatar Airways has demonstrated its commitment to sustainability and innovation by introducing a captivating Expo-themed livery to its fleet.

This occasion marks Qatar Airways’ role as the Official Strategic Partner for Expo 2023 Doha, reinforcing its dedication to environmental awareness and solidifying its partnership with Hamad International Airport (HIA) in their joint pursuit of a more sustainable future.

A330-300 A7-AED


The new Expo 2023 Doha livery was revealed on an A330-300 aircraft (A7-AED) by Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, at Hamad International Airport.

The event was attended by key dignitaries, including the President of Ashghal, H.E. Dr. Engr. Saad Ahmed Al Mohannadi; Chief Operating Officer at Hamad International Airport, Engr. Badr Mohammed Al Meer, alongside the Qatar Airways’ senior management and the Expo team.

As the Official Strategic Partner for Expo 2023 Doha, Qatar Airways has showcased its commitment to sustainability, innovation, and environmental consciousness.

By adorning one of its aircraft with the Expo 2023 Doha livery, Qatar Airways celebrates its pivotal role in this landmark event and reinforces its dedication to promoting environmental awareness and sustainable practices within the aviation industry.

About Expo 2023 Doha


Expo 2023 Doha is set to make history as the first A1 International Horticultural Exhibition in Qatar, the Middle East, and North Africa. The event is developed under Qatar’s National Vision 2030 organized under the Ministry of Municipality.

This year’s event is held under the theme “Green Desert, Better Environment” and aims to promote sustainable innovations and combat desertification.

It will inspire visitors to participate in the transformation within four main topics: Modern Agriculture, Technology and Innovation, Environmental Awareness, Sustainability.

The theme has been founded to inspire the international community to explore and adopt innovative desertification mitigation solutions.

Spanning 1.7 million square meters, the event takes place in the scenic Al Bidda Park, one of the biggest parks in Doha, offering breathtaking views of the Arabian Gulf.

The event is scheduled to commence on October 2, 2023, and will run for an impressive 179 days of celebrations, concluding on March 28, 2024.

Theaim is to attract over 3 million visitors, offering attendees the opportunity to explore exquisitely landscaped gardens and experience cultures from around the world.
