Qatar Airways to participate in Arabian Travel Market 2023

Qatar Airways is participating in the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2023 event which is set to take place this year from 1 to 4 May, in Dubai. ATM is the leading global event for the travel industry in the Middle East.

At the exhibition, the national carrier of the State of Qatar will showcase QVerse, a virtual reality experience to tour the Premium Check-in area at Hamad International Airport (HIA) and to explore the award-winning Business Class Qsuite.

Along with multiple other announcements, Qatar Airways and Qatar Tourism will share plans for the upcoming year featuring expected developments on products and services.

The award-winning airline says that it is “looking forward to meeting with trade partners, as well as travel and tourism professionals.” 

Regional importance in aviation and travel


The Arabian region remains a key aviation and travel market sector. The sector includes countries such as the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Oman.  

It is home to some of the world’s busiest airports, such as Dubai International Airport and Abu Dhabi International Airport.

The aviation industry in the Arabian region has experienced significant growth in recent years, driven by factors such as rising demand for air travel, the growth of low-cost carriers, and the development of new airports and infrastructure.

The region is also a hub for international air travel, connecting passengers between Asia, Europe, and Africa.

In addition to aviation, the Arabian region is a popular tourist destination, with a rich cultural heritage, world-class hotels, and attractions such as the Burj Khalifa in Dubai and the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi.

The region is also home to some of the world’s largest shopping malls and luxury brands, making it a popular destination for shopping tourism.

A key player in global recovery


Qatar Airways is strongly positioned to be a key player in driving the global recovery of the aviation industry.

Recently voted the “World’s Best Airline” the carrier has progressively introduced routes through the first quarter of the year to develop a robust network, stronger agreements and leading partnerships.

The airline significantly grew its network to over 160 destinations and has also focused on expansion in the Gulf region.

Qatar Airways also proactively continued to position itself with key sporting initiatives and events such as the recent Formula One Grand Prix.

The Arab Ministerial Council for Tourism recently named Doha as Arab Tourism Capital for 2023. This was quite a recognition of Qatar’s development in the travel and tourism industry.

As Qatar Airways’ sponsorship portfolio continues to grow, it anticipates attracting more tourists than ever in the coming years.

Accordingly, the airline will present some of its most exciting events taking place throughout 2023 around Doha at the upcoming Arabian Travel Market 2023 event.

The airline also significantly grew its network to over 160 destinations and focused on expansion in the Gulf region.

Qatar Airways currently flies to Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah, and more recently, to Ras Al Khaimah in the UAE. The World’s Best Airline currently operates 84 weekly flights to the UAE, firmly cementing the importance of the region.
