It has been revealed that Qatar Airways will resume services to Birmingham from Doha four days earlier than planned, ahead of its historic first return in three years.

According to AeroRoutes.com, the carrier is set to begin services on July 6 instead of July 10, as previously advertised.

Operating on a thrice-weekly basis, this will provide another route to the Middle East from the West Midlands-based destination.

As per data from the airline scheduling website, the services will resume under QR033, 034, 035, and 036.

The intention is to operate such flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, using its Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners.

QR033 will depart Doha at 0805 local time and arrive in Birmingham at 1315 local time. The return, QR034, will head out again at 1445 local time, arriving back in Doha at 2340 local time.

The QR035 rotation from Qatar Airways will depart Doha at 0220 local time and arrive in Birmingham at 0730 local time.

QR036, the return flight, will depart Birmingham at 0900 local time and arrive back in Doha at 1755 local time.

AeroRoutes did also note that on October 9, the equipment will change for just that day from a 787-8 to a Boeing 777-200LR.

It remains clear that for an airline to restart services earlier than planned signals positive news for how well a route is going to perform, especially over the Summer.

Birmingham does already host a range of services that will head over to the Middle East, which again is pinpointing the demand for those sorts of services.

As for Qatar Airways, all eyes will be on the carrier to see how the route restart goes and whether there is further scope for frequency upgrades going into the future.
