On June 16, Qatar Airways commenced its first flight on the airline’s newest route between Doha, Qatar and Trabzon, Turkey. The newest service marks Qatar Airways’ seventh service, as well as an expansion into the country.
With three weekly flights planned through the peak summer season, flight QR319 will be operated by Qatar Airways’ Airbus A320 fleet on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. The new route expands Qatar Airways’ footprint in Türkiye and strengthens its global network of more than 160 destinations.
Trabzon on the map
In recent days, Trabzon has become the latest destination on the Qatar Airways route-map, following the company’s inaugural flight on June 16, just this past Friday.
Onboard QR319, the flight was celebrated by the attendance of the Ambassador of The Republic of Türkiye in Qatar, His Excellency Dr. Mustafa Goksu, along with special celebrations taking place in Premium and Economy cabins.
Passengers were greeted with special Turkish desserts, and experienced a bespoke menu in addition to being presented with unique giveaways that embrace the Turkish culture.
Upon landing in Trabzon and Trabzon Int’l Airport (TZX), flight QR319 was greeted with a water-cannon salute, followed by a short ceremony attended by the Governor of Trabzon, Mr. İsmail Ustaoğlu. Passengers were also handed red roses and Turkish baklava upon deboarding.
With the company’s arrival into Trabzon, Qatar Airways has officialy got its seventh Turkish destination on the map, with other Turkish key cities on the map being Adana, Ankara, Antalya, Bodrum, Istanbul, and Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen.

The route will be serviced by Qatar Airways from June 16 to August 22 of this year, as a summer season route, and the flight schedule goes as follows, with all times being local:
