JetBlue, announced a significant network expansion solidifying its presence in Puerto Rico. This exciting development includes six new destinations from San Juan, their most successful focus city.

Passengers can expect increased connectivity and a wider range of travel options. JetBlue has also confirmed its latest network expansion with the addition of three new Caribbean destinations

JetBlue Presence in Puerto Rico

Since 2002, JetBlue has captivated travelers with its affordable fares and exceptional service. The carrier has progressively solidified its position as the preferred carrier on the island.

They currently employ over 370 crew members in Puerto Rico, with this number expected to grow. With the expansion in San Juan, JetBlue will operate flights to 18 destinations from the island’s three major airports.

Additionally, this winter, JetBlue will offer the most departures from San Juan compared to any other airline, averaging a staggering 40 daily flights with connections to other JetBlue destinations.

6 New Connections to San Juan

The following new destinations will be served with nonstop service to/from Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU):

Marty St. George, JetBlue President: “JetBlue is proud to be part of the Puerto Rican community for over two decades. This expansion strengthens our roots and reflects our dedication to the region.”

Senator Charles Schumer of New York: “This new route connects the Hudson Valley directly to Puerto Rico, fostering tourism, family connections, and economic opportunities.”

Puerto Rico Governor Pedro R. Pierlusi: “JetBlue’s expansion validates our administration’s vision for tourism growth in Puerto Rico.”

New Caribbean Destinations

As a leader in the Caribbean and Latin America (one-third of its network operates there), JetBlue further strengthens its position by adding three new Caribbean destinations.

  • St. Vincent and the Grenadines: This fall, JetBlue launches flights from New York’s JFK to the breathtaking Argyle International Airport (SVD).
  • Bonaire: Travelers can escape to the tranquil shores of Bonaire with new flights to Flamingo International Airport (BON) starting this fall.
  • St. Croix: JetBlue resumes daily service between San Juan and Henry E. Rohlsen Airport (STX), facilitating seamless travel within the Caribbean and easy connections from the US mainland.

These strategic additions establish JetBlue as the only U.S. airline offering direct connections from New York’s JFK to these captivating destinations.

For the first time ever, JetBlue brings its acclaimed Mint experience to Puerto Rico. Starting in July, daily flights between San Juan and New York’s JFK Airport will offer passengers the ultimate comfort of lie-flat seats and an exceptional dining experience.

Phoenix and Vancouver Services

The Mint experience expands its reach to include new destinations like Phoenix and Vancouver.

This winter, every flight heading to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport from JetBlue’s East Coast hubs (New York, Boston, and Fort Lauderdale) will feature Mint service, promising unparalleled comfort and exquisite cuisine.

Marty St. George adds further comment on Mint. “Customers adore our award-winning Mint experience, and we’re thrilled to offer it in even more destinations.”

“With its focus on comfort and thoughtful amenities, Mint brings the comforts of home to the sky,” he said.
