Porter Airlines is launching daily services to the U.S. with its new Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, covering Florida with five destinations.

Service includes Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) to Fort Lauderdale (FLL), Fort Myers (RSW), Miami (MIA), Orlando (MCO), and Tampa (TPA); as well as Ottawa International Airport (YOW) to Fort Lauderdale (FLL), and Orlando (MCO). All routes begin with one daily, roundtrip flight.

Canadian travel footprint in Florida

Canadians currently constitute the largest group of international tourists to Florida. Recognizing the importance of the Florida tourism sector, Porter clearly aims to provide passengers with a unique and hospitable experience right from the moment they step onto the aircraft.

This includes offerings such as complimentary fast WiFi, a selection of premium snacks, and the provision of free beer and wine in glassware for all passengers.

Passengers also have the option of choosing priority check-in, extra legroom seats, premium pre-mixed cocktails, and fresh, healthy meals.

These services are available as part of the all-inclusive PorterReserve fares or can be purchased individually with PorterClassic fares.

Passengers flying with Porter Airlines also have the option to tailor their experience based on their preferences. For those seeking an even more elevated journey, priority check-in and access to extra legroom seats are available.

Additionally, passengers can opt for premium pre-mixed cocktails and fresh, healthy meals. These offerings can be enjoyed through the all-inclusive PorterReserve fares or can be conveniently added to the journey through the à la carte menu available with PorterClassic fares.

Modern E195-E2 Commuter Fleet

Porter Airlines’ first foray into the U.S. market will see the introduction of the state-of-the-art Embraer E195-E2 aircraft.

With a seating capacity of 132, this aircraft features an all-economy class configuration that promises passenger comfort and a unique flying experience.

One standout feature is the two-by-two seating arrangement, ensuring that there are no dreaded middle seats on any of Porter’s flights.

A Game-Changer in Economy Travel

Kevin Jackson, the Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of Porter Airlines, expressed the airline’s commitment to redefining the economy travel experience. He stated:

“Canadians are used to flying to Florida, but not like this. Porter’s all-economy onboard service is unmatched by any other carrier in North America. “

“Whether that’s free WiFi, no middle seats, free beer and wine alongside premium snacks, or fresh, healthy food, Porter is challenging the industry’s definition of economy air travel. We believe that time onboard our aircraft is just as important as at the destination.”

Florida Welcomes Porter Airlines

Dana Young, President and CEO of VISIT FLORIDA, warmly welcomed Porter Airlines to the region. She expressed excitement about the direct flights that will connect Canadian visitors to five diverse destinations within the state.

Young highlighted the allure of Florida’s beautiful beaches, expansive nature trails, and endless opportunities for fun in the sun that await the travelers.
