Passenger satisfaction reigns supreme at Porter Airlines, which secured the coveted title of Best Regional Airline in North America at the 2024 Skytrax World Airline Awards.

This prestigious recognition is based on the world’s largest airline passenger satisfaction survey with participation from over 100 countries.

It highlights Porter’s commitment to redefining economy air travel.

Porter: The Economy Travel Experience

“For 17 years, Porter Airlines has been revolutionizing the economy travel experience,” Michael Deluce, CEO of Porter Airlines, remarked.

“As we expand our network across North America, we provide passengers with unparalleled value, including complimentary beer and wine served in glassware, a selection of premium snacks, high-quality meals, and free in-flight Wi-Fi for everyone.”

Deluce further emphasizes that exceptional service is equally important. “We believe a premium product deserves exceptional service and genuine hospitality,” he says.

“This award is a testament to our team’s unwavering dedication to providing an exceptional experience for every passenger.”

Porter Airlines stands out by offering an elevated economy experience across its entire network. This includes comfortable two-by-two seating configurations, eliminating dreaded middle seats on all flights.

The airline’s commitment to this standard is evident in its growth since 2006, with a network now spanning North America.

Recent Achievements

Recent developments at Porter Airlines showcase its impressive growth trajectory. In the past 18 months alone, the airline has:

  • Welcomed over 2,000 new team members
  • Boosted its fleet with 35 new Embraer E195-E2s
  • Grown its total fleet to 64 aircraft, including 29 Dash 8-400s
  • Unveiled a significant network expansion with dozens of new routes and 20 destinations
  • Expanded its reach across Canada, now flying as far west as Victoria and as far east as St. John’s
  • Increased its presence in the U.S., with current destinations in five Floridian cities, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Las Vegas, with Phoenix slated to join this winter

“We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Porter Airlines on this tremendous achievement,” said Edward Plaisted, CEO of Skytrax.

“This award is a true testament to the success of their exceptional product, which is further amplified by their outstanding staff service, in a highly competitive market like North America.”

The Best Regional Airline in North America category was introduced by Skytrax in 2014. Porter Airlines is proud to be not only the winner of this prestigious award but also one of only three North American carriers to hold Skytrax’s Official 4-Star Rating.

This accolade is a recognition of overall quality performance.
