Earlier this week, Porter Airlines connected Newfoundland further through the launch of Halifax-Deer Lake flights.

The Canadian carrier continues to grow at pace when it comes to domestic and regional markets.

The New Halifax-Deer Lake Flights with Porter Airlines…

Porter Airlines flights between Halifax and Deer Lake launched on June 4.

Furthermore, it is understood the services will operate on a daily basis, encouraging connectivity and growth in the region.

The flights are being served by their regional De Havilland Dash 8-400 aircraft.

Within their press release, Porter Airlines has been pushing the tourism side more on the Halifax-Deer Lake flights.

Deer Lake has a UNESCO World Heritage Site being the Gros Morne National Park in Western Newfoundland.

Commenting on the launch of flights was Kevin Jackson, the President of Porter Airlines who said the following:

“Increasing air connectivity in these communities creates more choice for travellers and greatly supports tourism.”

“With Porter’s new service, outdoor enthusiasts can explore the beauty of the east coast.”

Adding to this was Tammy Priddle, president and chief executive officer, Deer Lake Regional Airport Authority:

“Air Access is vital for our region’s economic growth and development, quality of life and overall well-being”

“Porter Airlines inaugural flight into Halifax Stanfield provides opportunity to not only connect for business and leisure in Nova Scotia but allows access into Porter’s growing national network including Ottawa, Toronto Pearson, Toronto Island and beyond.”

Finally, Joyce Carter, president and CEO, Halifax International Airport Authority said:

“We are thrilled to welcome Porter Airlines’ new daily service between Halifax and Deer Lake!”

“This route not only enhances travel options for our passengers but also significantly strengthens connectivity within Atlantic Canada.”

“With the stunning natural beauty and vibrant culture of both western Newfoundland and Nova Scotia, we anticipate more travellers will explore the diverse offerings of our communities.”

“We are grateful for Porter’s commitment to our region, making these exciting journeys possible.”

In conclusion, the new flights between Halifax & Deer Lake from Porter Airlines is strong news for the local communities.
