Porter Airlines is launching its first two western U.S. destinations in California with daily roundtrip service connecting Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and San Francisco International Airport (SFO) to Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ).

Embraer E195-E2

Porter Airlines will operate these new routes with the state-of-the-art Embraer E195-E2 aircraft. With a configuration of 132 all-economy seats in a spacious two-by-two layout, passengers will benefit from comfort without the inconvenience of middle seats.

A fast free Wi-Fi service is also provided and passengers are served premium snacks with access to complimentary beer and wine, all served in elegant glassware.

PorterReserve and PorterClassic Fares

For those looking for more, Porter Airlines also offers two distinct fare options. The all-inclusive PorterReserve fares come with extra legroom seats, premium pre-mixed cocktails, and a selection of fresh and healthy meals.

Alternatively, you can choose PorterClassic fares and customize your journey by purchasing these options a la carte. The choice is yours, and it’s all about catering to your unique preferences.

Los Angeles & San Francisco Eco-Friendly

In an age where sustainability is paramount, the E195-E2 aircraft shines as the most environmentally-friendly single-aisle option available.

It’s 65% quieter and up to 25% more fuel-efficient than previous-generation models. Not only does it consume less fuel per seat and per trip, but it also claims the title of the quietest single-aisle jet in operation today.

Porter Airlines takes sustainability seriously not only in its aircraft but also in its services. The airline prioritizes reducing and eventually eliminating single-use plastics onboard, opting for biodegradable cups and cutlery, and eco-friendly packaging

Toronto Pearson

Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) serves as the gateway to Canada’s vibrant business and tourist hub. The city offers an extensive range of cultural, artistic, and entertainment options, along with a diverse culinary scene that caters to international tastes.

Toronto is renowned for hosting the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), making it a prime destination for film enthusiasts. Moreover, it stands as one of North America’s foremost technology hubs, attracting startups and multi-billion-dollar investments from global tech giants.

Canadian travelers exploring California will discover a plethora of attractions via Northern and Southern gateways.

Northern highlights include walking the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, riding the historic cable cars, or indulging in wine country adventures.

In contrast, the south boasts celebrity sightings on Hollywood Boulevard, thrilling coastal surfing, and world-famous theme parks.

Porter Airlines offers seamless connections throughout its extensive Canadian network. Travelers can easily access Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Halifax, and St. Johns, making it convenient for business and leisure travelers alike.

This expansion also complements Porter’s existing U.S. markets, which now include five destinations in Florida: Tampa, Fort Myers, Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, and Miami.

In the words of Kevin Jackson, executive vice president and chief commercial officer of Porter Airlines, “Porter’s onboard experience focuses on providing economy travelers with service that is unmatched by any carrier in North America.”

“We believe that every passenger deserves genuine hospitality and high-quality service that makes time onboard our aircraft something to look forward to.”

Ivar C. Satero, airport director at San Francisco International Airport adds, “We are thrilled to welcome Porter Airlines to SFO. This service offers San Francisco Bay Area travelers an exciting new way to Canada and reflects our own commitment to making travel more sustainable.”

Michael Christensen, Chief Operations and Maintenance Officer at Los Angeles World Airports, expresses LAX’s enthusiasm, saying,

“Los Angeles passengers will now have more choices to fly nonstop to Toronto – the second most popular destination in Canada from LAX, and the seventh most popular international destination.”

“We look forward to the start of the new service this winter and we thank Porter Airlines for choosing to expand their United States operation at LAX.”
