A Milestone for Panama City’s Copa Airlines…

As per data from Planespotters.net, HP-9925CMP is the Boeing 737 MAX 9 aircraft that has been delivered to the carrier on July 12.

The delivery flight departed Seattle at 1415 local time on Wednesday, July 12, and arrived in Tocumen, Panama City at 2324 local.
At the time of writing (July 14), the aircraft hasn’t entered commercial service yet, with Copa Airlines probably in the process of getting the aircraft ready for this still.
There is currently no indication of what the first route it will operate from Panama City, but it will no doubt be amongst the list of destinations in their network.
These deliveries to Copa Airlines reflect the carrier’s overall expansion plan for 2023 and beyond.
As part of their 2023 plans, Copa Airlines confirmed the recent addition of 15 new B737MAX aircraft, an investment of $2.1 billion, to their latest order.
These aircraft are additions to the existing 2015 order and are expected to be delivered within the next 5 years.
In 2023, the airline expects to receive six additional Boeing 737 MAX9, bringing its current fleet to a total of 99 airplanes, comprising 32 B737 MAX 9s, 58 B737-800NG, and 9 B737-700NGs.
