Ottawa to Edmonton: Porter Airlines' New E195-E2 Route

This week, Porter Airlines announced plans to add services between Ottawa and Edmonton using its Embraer E195-E2, the latest flagship aircraft in its fleet.

The new route is expected to begin on October 4, with the following flight schedule:

Commenting on the new route between Ottawa to Edmonton being serviced by the Porter Airlines Embraer E195-E2 was Kevin Jackson, the airline’s Executive VP & CCO:

“The addition of this route provides a higher level of connectivity across our network between Eastern and Western Canada”.

“We welcome the opportunity to provide even more travelers across the country with an elevated economy experience that they won’t find with any other airline.”

Adding to this was Myron Keehn, the President & CEO of Edmonton International Airport:

“We are pleased to join Porter Airlines in announcing their non-stop year-round flight from Edmonton to Ottawa.”

“This exciting addition to our flight offerings not only strengthens business and government ties between our regions but also enhances tourism opportunities for travelers seeking a seamless connection to our country’s capital city”.

Finally, the CEO of the Ottawa International Airport Authority, Mark Laroche, had this to say:

“We are delighted that Porter Airlines is adding non-stop service between Ottawa and Edmonton to their growing list of destinations from YOW.”

“This addition is another reason why Ottawa-Gatineau travelers should embrace Porter as their hometown carrier and enjoy the enhanced travel experience that awaits”.

Overall, this is another beneficial route in the Porter Airlines network and will stand to benefit the local economies of both airports.
