Flights between London Gatwick and Las Vegas with Norse Atlantic Airways is set to begin on September 12.

Services will operate on a thrice-weekly basis, with the apt flight number of Z0777 after the lucky number 7.

Bjorn Tore Larsen, CEO and Founder Norse Atlantic Airways said the following on this:

“We are excited to introduce this new route from London Gatwick to Las Vegas, a unique city that offers unparalleled diversity, boasting an abundance of entertainment, dining, and recreational options to suit every taste.”

“For those seeking breathtaking natural landscapes, including nearby national parks such as the Grand Canyon, Red Rock Canyon, and Valley of Fire State Park, this destination is also an explorer’s paradise”.

Adding to this was Stephanie Wear, VP Aviation Development, London Gatwick:

“We are delighted to see Norse Atlantic’s continued growth at London Gatwick, providing more flights and choice for passengers across London and the Southeast.”

“Las Vegas is a popular leisure route and it’s fantastic to see direct flights return from September for the winter season, complementing existing summer services from London Gatwick.”

“Passengers can now fly from London Gatwick to more than 50 long-haul destinations, including multiple locations across the USA, including New York and Florida.”

Part of the Strategy for Recovery in 2024?

Furthermore, these new flights between London & Las Vegas could be part of the strategy of recovery for the airline.

Back in February, Norse Atlantic Airways unveiled their financial results.

In his own words, Larsen mentioned the utilization of careful route selection at seasonal points.

“When planning ahead for the winter and summer seasons in 2024 Norse has capitalized on lessons learnt in 2023.”

“Among our priorities will be careful route selection, capturing unreleased fare potential, increasing load factor and developing further business opportunities within cargo and charter operations.”

“The Company will also gradually develop its seasonal strategies as focus during the winter season will turn more and more towards pursuing opportunities in the charter market as a supplement to own scheduled flights.”

In conclusion, all eyes will be on how the London to Las Vegas flights perform with Norse Atlantic Airways.

If successful, then we could see frequency expansion at seasonal points, which the airline is focusing on.

The airline is seeking to turn around their $168.6m full-year loss, and for them, these new flights could help with that.

But for now, all eyes will be on the overall performance of the route and the airline in 2024.
