Under the Memorandum of Understanding signed between ITA Airways & Emirates, we will see the following:

  • Emirates: Access to routes such as Florence, Genoa, Palermo, Trieste & others.

Both sides will also eventually offer combined ticketing and seamless baggage transfers in a major win on the PaxEx side.

On top of this, such an agreement will also see the extending of reciprocal loyalty benefits to customers in each airline.

It remains clear that this will be a beneficial codeshare partnership for both Emirates and ITA Airways.

The Italian carrier can get an even further global spread of destinations, with the Dubai-based carrier unlocking growth in Italy.

Looking ahead, all eyes will be on how this partnership develops, as well as whether there is scope to expand in the future.

All of this we will no doubt see develop throughout 2024. All eyes on this.
