As per data from AeroRoutes, MIAT Mongolian Airlines will be operating its Boeing 767 on its Tokyo services during the third quarter of 2023.

MIAT Mongolian Airlines has announced that it will increase capacity on its Ulaanbaatar – Tokyo Narita route between July and August 2023. The airline will be operating its sole Boeing 767-300ER on selected dates, instead of the smaller Boeing 737-800/737 MAX 8 aircraft.

The carrier’s Boeing 767-300ER has a capacity of 252 passengers broken down into 15 business class and 237 economy class seats, compared to up to 174 passengers on their Boeing 737-800/737 MAX 8. This means that MIAT will be able to offer more seats on the route during the peak summer travel season.

The 767-300ER is also a more fuel-efficient aircraft than the Boeing 737-800/737 MAX 8. This means that MIAT will be able to reduce its carbon emissions on the route.

The following are the dates on which the Boeing 767-300ER will be operated on the Ulaanbaatar to Tokyo Narita route:

  • July 7, 2023
  • July 17, 2023
  • July 24, 2023
  • August 18, 2023

The flight times are as follows –

Flight OM501 departs Ulaanbaatar (UBN) at 07:45 a.m. local time to Tokyo Narita (NRT) arriving in Tokyo at 13:40 p.m. local time.

Flight OM502 departs Tokyo Narita (NRT) at 14:40 p.m. local time back to Ulaanbaatar (UBP) arriving at 19:15 p.m. local time.

MIAT Mongolian Airlines is the national flag carrier of Mongolia. The airline operates a fleet of six aircraft and flies to 22 destinations in Asia, Europe, and North America.
